"I whip my hair back & forth"!

I had a shoot today and OMG- it was SOOOO much fun!

The photographer, David Levine, was just amazing.

Since it is mother's day, I invited my mama to join me and see me in action.

We had an outdoor shoot originally planned for a local park. David wanted to go for a dark look where I would appear to be running away- FUN! However, we decided to go with a studio shoot at the last minute because the look wasn't fully prepared. Turns out the weather was kind of rainy anyway so it worked out.

Sooo, for the studio shoot we were trying to recreate some editorial photos. And I must say, I had a BLAST! After playing around with some posing and lighting we quickly reclaimed the theme to "hair whipping" lol. Turns out I am a pro at whipping my hair around :) and it makes for some really awesome photos.

I can't wait to get the final product back to share..

I would work over and over again with David - by far one of my favorite shoots.
Thanks for checking in and reading. I hope y'all are as impressed with the photos as I am when you see them<3

It's Just The Beginning...

Welcome!
This is my first blog post EVER.

I plan on using this for modeling updates.

SO- I started some freelance modeling in January (2012) and I am in LOVE!! I actually did my first shoot in December with a friend and we got screwed out of our pictures because the photographer turned out to be a sleeze ball pervert. We wouldn't pose nude for him so he feels we wasted his time and in return he decided not to go forward with our photos. It was a bit discouraging and after that horrible experience I swore I was done.

Thanks to my AMAZINGLY AWESOME SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND- I decided to "try" this one more time.. My husband is my best friend and biggest supporter. He supports my modeling and encourages me to continue with this lovely journey.

So- January came and I got in touch with a local photographer who was looking to expand his port so we did a shoot together on the beach at Ponce Inlet. He was very professional and I had my photos the next day. We did a few bikini shots on the beach, the boardwalk, and the inlet rocks. We also did some fun shots outside the boardwalk path with great trees as a back drop.

Following that shoot- I then landed a gig with another photographer who actually sells jewelry (www.crazyforearrings.com). I modeled jewelry: earrings, bracelets & rings. That was SO much fun. He had a makeup artist who did a great job with the makeup. Dave uses my photos on his website from time to time.

Check out this cool video made by Dave the great photographer:

I then went on to do a shoot in February with another great local photographer, Gene Smith. He contacted me through OneModelPlace where I have a modeling port. He asked if I would be interested in modeling for a local biker bar, stating I had the perfect look for what the owner wanted. I of course was all over it. We shot at the bar and used my dads bike. I then found out my photos are now being used as May's centerfold for Thunder Roads Magazine- Florida edition. You can see the photos in the published magazine all over the state of Florida as well as on the website www.thunderroadsflorida.com you just need to click on the PDF version and go to page 15. On the PDF it looks like a single page, but in print it is certainly the centerfold (2 page spread).

Following that shoot I went on to do a hair and make-up shoot with another local. His wife and her friends work for a local salon so they wanted to get some local models to showcase some looks so they can hang up in their salon and use for advertisements (instead of using the generics most salons use).

I have a few upcoming shots this month and one so far for June.

I am having a blast doing all of this. Even if it takes me no place at all- it is still a blast to work with such great photographers. I am so thankful and feel truly blessed to have done what I have so far... and this is just the start.

Check back often- I want to update after shoots and just for fun in between.
